Race Hauler

LMB SpeedShop offers numerous opportunities to get your name out there and noticed. We will be traveling over 3500 miles this winter on Michigan highways and with our 48 foot race hauler we attract a lot of attention. We will also be racing a total of 1700 laps on ice oval tracks around the upper and lower peninsulas with the Midwest International Racing Association. Races are covered by The Winning Edge and Snow Week magazines and are well attended. Some of the premier races draw crowds that number in the tens of thousands. They are also covered by radio, television, and printed media. Our team has made a name for ourselves in the Pro ranks by consistently being one of the front runners.

Enduro

Our tried and true enduro race sled is a 2000 Polaris XC SP 600 with the Gen II chassis. We have converted this stock trail sled into a competitive ice oval racer.  The 600cc small block twin under the hood has been modified to crank out 135HP. It also has 196 razor sharp ice picks on a 121" low profile track. There is also a pair of 10" razor sharp carbide runners on customized racing skis up front to control the sled through the corners. We rebuilt the front suspension using chromemoley for and installed a track lubrication system. With the help of a revalved suspension our sled powers down the straights exceeding speeds of 90+ mph and can still maintain control through the corners.

Sprint

This sled started out racing in the Semi-Pro stock class and has been totally rebuilt to race in the Pro Open class with the fastest sleds in the sport.  The Flannery motor and pipes work in perfect unison to make the sled scream.  The number of custom built pieces are too numerous to list.  The keys to its success are lightweight components including a Wahl Bros. rear suspension, a hand built chromemoly front suspension and Fox Zero Pro shocks with custom shock valving. This is one of the fastest full bodied sleds on the MIRA circuit.

Soo I-500

This is our dedicated Soo sled.  It started out as a 2007 Polaris IQ 600 but has been adapted to run the legendary 1-mile oval in Sault Ste Marie.  With the help of 3-D modeling software and CNC machining the front suspension has been totally remade to lower the CG and optimize suspension travel.  Walker Evans suspension combined with LMB's shock valving give the drivers the control to handle the banked corners and rough bumps for all 500 miles.  Changes to the motor and pipes should give the team the speed they need to stand in the Winner's Circle at the I-500.
